The ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter’s programs include personal home visits with pALS and their caregivers and consultations via telephone and e-mail to assess needs and answer questions; assistance with healthcare navigation; support groups for pALS and their caregivers; a durable medical equipment and assistive technology loan closet; a multidisciplinary clinic; a transportation program; respite for caregivers; education and awareness activities; outreach to identify new patients; advocacy efforts on a state and national level; and support for international research for treatment and a cure. The ALS Association is the only organization in Louisiana and Mississippi providing all of these services.
